2008 Pinot Noir, Russian River Selection
90 Points – Charles Olken’s, Connoisseurs’ Guide, March 2011
90 Points – “Bright, red-cherry fruit leads the way in the nose here with accents of dusty rose, rhubarb and a bare touch of anise just off to the side. The wine is medium-bodied and strikes a slightly lighter stance on the palate but still shows a good deal of tactile refinement, and, while it is invigorated by a streak of last-minute acidity, it is never stiff or ungainly. Like its sibling, it is marked by persistent impressions of winemaking polish, and, if in no way a “big” wine it, too, is certain to grow for several years.
